The Indian Government has launched most motivated scheme as PMAY- Housings for all by 2022. This scheme is launched by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25th June 2015.

The main purpose of the scheme is to construct 2 crores houses for poor citizens who lives under EWS and LIG categories in urban and this mission will offer central support to implement agencies by the states and UTs for providing houses to all eligible beneficiaries/ families by 2022, this scheme covers 29 states including 7 Union Territories.

List of Documents Require for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana PMAY

Beneficiaries:

  • The scheme is given to families, comprising of husband, wife and unmarried children
  • The family member should not own Pucca house in her/ his name or any member of the family in any part of India

Benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:

  • Subsidy of Rs. 2.4 Lakh for buying houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
  • The interest subsidy will be offered for 20 years from the date on which the loan amount was given to the customer
  • 5% (credit linked) subsidy on the interests on the loans availed by the people who bought/planning to buy houses under the scheme.
  • If you apply for a loan at an interest of 9% than from the subsidy of all three categories on the home loan of Rs 20 lakh you will get a total benefit of Rs 2.4 Lakh and repayment of the loan will reduce the monthly installment of Rs 2,200.
  • If you’re earning is 12 Lakh, the government will provide 4% subsidy under home loan of Rs 9 Lakh.
  • If you are earning 18 lakh, the government will provide 3% subsidy under home loan of Rs 12 Lakh.

For Salaried:

  1. Application Form dually filled
  2. Identity proof: Anyone from the below
  • Aadhar Card
  • Voter Card
  • Valid Passport
  • Submit note from recognized public authority or public servant verifying the identity of the customer with photograph (not more than 30 days old)
  • Driving License
  • Photo Credit Card
  • Photo Identity card issued by Govt. Body
  1. Address Proof: Anyone from below
  • Voter Card
  • Letter from a recognized public authority or public servant verifying the identity and residence of the customer
  • Latest Utility bill
  • Rent agreement on stamp Paper
  • Bank Statements reflecting address of borrowers of any commercial nationalized bank
  • Aadhar Card
  • Valid Passport
  • family pension payment orders (PPOs) or Pension matters to retired employees by Govt. departments or Public Sector Undertakings, if they contain the address
  • Letter of allotment of accommodation from employer issued by State or Central Govt.
  • Credit Card Statement not older than 3 months
  • Life Insurance Policy
  • Residence address Certificate /letter by employer on company letterhead
  • Copy of Sale Deed of the property (residence), if owned
  • Municipal or property tax receipt
  • Post office saving bank account statement

  • Last 2 months salary slip
  • Last 6 months bank statement of salaried account
  • Latest Form 16 / ITR
  1. Property Documents : all the documents are given below
  • Copy of the Allotment Letter / Buyer Agreement (if applicable)
  • Copy of Agreement to sell (if executed)
  • Copy of Receipts of payments made to the developer (if applicable)
  • Copy of complete chain documents of the property (as applicable)

For Self Employed:

  1. Application Form dually filled

  • Photo Identity card issued by Govt. body
  • Submit a note from known public authority or public servant verifying the identity of the customer with photograph (not more than 30 days old)
  • Valid Passport

  • SSI Registration Certificate
  • PAN Card/Sales Tax/ VAT Registration Certificate
  • Shops & Establishment Certificate
  • Trade License Certificate
  • SEBI Registration Certificate
  • Partnership Deed (for firms) / Memorandum of Association (MOA) for companies
  • Export-Import Code Certificate/Factory Registration Certificate
  • Professional qualification Certificate and Degree Certificate for Professionals
  • Registration No issued by ROC
  1. Proof of Income: all the below documents
  • Last 6 months current account statement of the business entity and saving account statement of individual
  • Income Tax Returns along with computation for last 2 financial years
  • Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account along with all annexure (duly CA certified and audited if applicable)
  1. Property Documents:
  • Copy of Receipt/(s) of payment/(s) made to the developer (if applicable)
  • Copy of complete chain documents of the property (as applicable)
  • Copy of Agreement to Sell (if executed)
  • Copy of the Allotment Letter / Buyer Agreement(if applicable)
  1. Other Documents:
  • MOA (for private Limited companies)
  • Latest List of shareholding pattern (duly CA/CS certified)
  • Documents related to running loans along with 6 months repayment bank statements
